Privacy Policy

1. Information I Collect

Depending on your booking, I may collect:

• Your name, phone number and email address.
• Your home address, where needed for pick-up/drop-off or invoicing.
• Learner's permit or driver's licence details, including licence number and expiry.
• Emergency contact details, where you're under 18 or provide them voluntarily.
• Payment and booking details processed through my online booking platform.
• Dash cam and in-car camera footage recorded during lessons (see section 4 below).
• Any health or medical information you choose to tell me that's relevant to your fitness to drive.

2. How I Collect It

Most information is collected directly from you when you make a booking through my online booking platform, by phone, by email, or in person before or during a lesson. If you're under 18, this information may be provided by your parent or guardian.

3. Why I Collect and Use It

I use your personal information to:

• Confirm and manage your bookings, packages and driving tests.
• Contact you about lessons, rescheduling, reminders and invoices.
• Meet legal requirements around learner and provisional licences.
• Process payments through my booking platform.
• Review dash cam footage where needed for safety, insurance or training purposes.
• Respond to any questions, feedback or complaints you raise with me.

4. In-Car Cameras

Dash cams and in-car cameras may be operating and recording during every lesson. By booking a lesson, you agree that this footage may be used for accident evidence, insurance claims, safety reviews and instructor training. Footage remains the property of Adelaide Hills Driving School and is only shared with others where set out in section 5 below, or where I'm required to by law.

5. Who I Share It With

I don't sell or rent your personal information. I may share relevant details with:

• The Department for Infrastructure and Transport or your test examiner, where needed for a driving test or licence matter.
• My insurer, if a claim arises from an incident during a lesson.
• My online booking and payment platform provider, solely to process your booking and payment.
• A parent or guardian, where you're under 18.
• Anyone else required by law, such as police investigating an accident.

I don't send your personal information overseas.

6. Storage and Security

Your information is stored securely in my online booking platform and on password-protected devices. Dash cam footage is stored securely and kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes set out above, after which it's deleted or overwritten. I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.

7. Access, Correction and Complaints

You can ask me at any time for a copy of the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct it if it's wrong. If you have a concern about how I've handled your information, please contact me using the details below and I'll do my best to sort it out. If you're not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

8. Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on my website and booking page.
