Adult learners & confidence building
Driving lessons for adult learners and confidence building
Whether you're preparing for a driving reassessment, returning to the road after time away or simply want to feel safer behind the wheel, I'll work with you at a pace that suits you.

Who these lessons are for
These lessons are for adults at any stage of driving, whatever brings you here. They suit:
- Adults undergoing a medical or age-related driving reassessment
- Drivers on a suspended or temporary licence who've been advised to take lessons
- Drivers getting a medical clearance to return to driving
- Seniors wanting to stay safe and confident on the road
- Anyone who's been off the road for a while and needs to rebuild their confidence
What lessons cover
Every lesson is shaped around you, so we start by talking about what you'd like to feel more comfortable with. From there, lessons usually cover 3 things.
- Refreshing the current road rules
- Building your confidence on the roads you drive every day
- Preparing for an assessment, so you know what to expect on the day
Preparing for a driving assessment
If you've been asked to complete a driving assessment, lessons beforehand help you walk in calm and prepared. We'll practise the everyday skills an assessor looks for, such as observation, speed management, lane position and giving way, and I'll give you clear feedback on where you're strong and what's worth polishing. The assessment itself is carried out by an assessor, and my job is to make sure you arrive ready for it.
Lessons that suit the way you learn
Before becoming a driving instructor, I worked in disability care, service delivery and government leadership, and I bring that experience into every lesson. Whether you need more time, clear step-by-step instructions or a calm and patient approach, I'll adapt to you. You'll also get a written summary after every lesson, so you can look back over what we covered.
Pricing and booking
Lessons are $130 for 60 minutes or $170 for 90 minutes, both including GST, in a dual-control automatic. You can book online straight into my diary, call me on 0402 339 732, or send an enquiry and I'll get back to you, usually within 24 hours.
